A movie that will make the Millie Bobby Brown failure seem like Oscar material. If you want to see A-list celebrities make a fool of themselves, this one's for you.

As someone who's been a big fan of Parks and Recreation for ages, I know that Chris Pratt can pull off a comedic role.

I don't know about you, but Andy Dwyer is my favorite role of his ever. The man knows comedy (or at least he did).

And it's natural. Actors can't always be on the top of their game. A recent The Electric State is a great proof of that. Yet the latest failure can't even compare to the monstrosity that Pratt was a part of back in 2013. As Francesca Steele (Independent UK) put it quite mildly:

“This is a film so utterly devoid of laughs that it makes one wonder whether Hollywood stars really are feeling the pinch too.”

Movie 43 follows a desperate producer pitching increasingly absurd storylines featuring A-list celebrities. The film is basically a collection of crude sketches that seemed like they were written by a bunch of middle schoolers who just discovered what shock humor is.

Surprisingly enough, the movie featured some titans of the industry. I'm talking about Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Emma Stone, Richard Gere (who even tried to get out of this mess, poor soul), Uma Thurman, and even Halle Berry. Bless all their hearts because they really found themselves in a sticky situation to say the least.

The movie scored an impressive 4% on Rotten Tomatoes, which honestly feels generous.

Movie 43 Got Fans Arguing

Now let's be more open-minded here. Movie 43 is bad, yes, but it honestly had a very promising premise. And while I personally didn't enjoy it, some did. And that's what truly matters.

As Redditor Kahl_Drobo boldly claimed:

“IMO this movie is only outdone by Tropic Thunder for the best comedy of the last two decades. Please give this movie a shot or a rewatch.”

For me, the comparison to Ben Stiller's Tropic Thunder is a bit overexaggerated. But to be frank, that just made me want to rewatch Movie 43 and perhaps give it another chance.

The Verdict: Watch at Your Own Risk

Though I still can't wrap my head around how they were able to convince these Oscar-worthy actors to join this train wreck, it's up to you to decide the real value of the movie.

So if you're feeling brave (or masochistic), you can stream it now for free on Plex. And hey, if nothing else, it might make you appreciate The Electric State a whole lot more.
