A mind-bending story with biblical vibes.

From the first minutes, Raised by Wolves might look like typical sci-fi: androids, barren planets, babies in test tubes. But very soon, it shifts. Underneath the surface, Ridley Scott weaves a strange, layered story about belief, parenthood, and what makes us human.

The world here is split between two extremes: the sun-worshipping Mithraic and rationalist atheists. Both sides use androids, wage wars, and raise children in the name of survival. But the core question remains: can a machine truly be a parent?

The central duo — simply Mother and Father — are androids sent to raise a new generation on a distant planet. Their journey is emotional, disturbing, and strangely touching. Especially Mother: originally built as a weapon, she becomes a fierce protector.

Scott clearly leans into heavy themes: mythology, faith, chosen ones, divine punishment. At times it feels like Alien meets Blade Runner, only even more cryptic. And that’s not a bad thing.

Travis Fimmel walks a fine line between zealot and trickster, and as always, he brings that wild, unpredictable charisma. Watching him is just pure joy.

Raised by Wolves isn’t for everyone. It’s slow, strange, and packed with symbolism. But if you’re in the mood for bold, thought-provoking sci-fi — this might be your thing.
