Timothée Chalamet’s Next $90M Movie Is Already a Tiring Fiction With Over 100 Characters

This time, however, there’s nothing of a traditional biopic there — Chalamet’s new endeavour is more of a monster version of Avengers: Infinity War.
It’s been a while since Timothée Chalamet lost an Academy award to Adrien Brody, but things are currently moving forward for the actor’s next potential Oscar bait.
Having received numerous accolades for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in James Mangold’s musical biopic A Complete Unknown, Chalamet continues his streak with (almost) embodying yet another real-life figure, table tennis champion Marty Mauser.
The future film is currently heading towards its post-production wrap, and, so far boasting of the biggest budget A24 has ever landed for one of its projects, it also has some pretty surprising details that potential audiences might still be processing.
A24’s Marty Supreme Is Teased by Cinematographer
Despite the movie not having its release date yet, Marty Supreme’s cinematographer Darius Khondji made sure the viewers would get prepared for what they will see in advance.
Talking about his upcoming projects at Doha Film Institute’s Qumra lab, Khondji revealed Marty Supreme, which currently comprises a star-studded cast of Chalamet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Fran Drescher, Tyler The Creator, and Kevin O’Leary among others, will also feature, well, several more figures, with a total amount of characters going up to 140.
The cinematographer also added the movie will star Philippe Petit in a cameo role; the latter is a French highwire artist who later on became the subject of a 2008 Oscar-winning documentary Man On Wire.
Darius Khondji Claims Marty Supreme Is ‘Unlike Anything at the Moment’
Even though the upcoming movie is yet to go through several stages of post-production before getting to cinemas, Marty Supreme is, according to Khondji, already a cinematic masterpiece that audiences won’t be able to forget anytime soon after giving it a watch.
The cinematographer revealed he was about to finish the movie’s colouring, so he had no doubts while saying that Marty Supreme “will be ready at the end of the year”.
There’s not much saying about the film’s plot details, but it’s believed to be set in the 1950s with Chalamet taking on the role of the titular character inspired by Marty Mauser.
It was also rumoured that Marty Supreme, unlike Chalamet’s previous hit film, won’t follow the structure of a traditional biopic, instead offering a fictionalized story in the form of an adventure-comedy movie.
