As soon as Fast X released, it achieved two major things: great profits and terrible reviews. Reportedly, Vin Diesel is blaming the latter on Jason Momoa — but why?

The Fast & Furious franchise is more of a really long-running gag than an actual cinematic universe. What started as a trilogy about street racing and cool cars became a wild theme park of a franchise with international espionage, huge explosions, constant character revivals, and cool cars… In open space.

Despite trying to present itself as the most badass and overly serious, Fast & Furious is largely perceived as a no-brain entertainment. This is not inherently a bad thing, either: after all, the F&F movies continuously harvest amazing box office revenues, and the entire franchise has earned billions (!!! ) of dollars worldwide.

Still, even after all these years, Vin Diesel apparently can’t get over the public perception of his favorite creation.

The most recent installment of the franchise, Fast X, has received great revenue — and terrible reviews. The movie’s been called “convoluted,” “congested,” “predictably ridiculous,” and many other things.

According to anonymous sources close to the actor, Vin Diesel is in massive distress over such reception of Fast X, and he doesn’t want to take any blame on himself. Reportedly, he instead trashes Jason Momoa’s performance and throws the Aquaman star under the bus for, insiders’ quote, “overacting” and “scene-stealing.”

This is really, really embarrassing… Not for Momoa, of course, but for Vin Diesel.

Amid the awful reviews, Jason Momoa’s brand-new villain Dante Reyes is largely called the only silver lining in the entire movie. Jason’s performance is praised by both the critics and the audience, and his Dante was named the best villain in the entire Fast & Furious history immediately after the movie’s release.

This only goes to show that Vin Diesel is somehow not ready to take responsibility for his own creation.

The Fast and Furious franchise has been a matter of many laughs for years, but it’s been hugely successful money-wise; he didn’t accept it and kept trying to push the “serious” perception of the franchise (which failed every time).

And now, after his most recent movie gathered yet another shitload of money at the box office, Vin Diesel is blaming the one actor who’s praised for his performance for the terrible reviews…

He might’ve been just frustrated, but now the actor’s in trouble: reportedly, Jason Momoa already knows that Diesel trashed him, and he’s very upset.
