Wednesday Season 2 Looks Dangerous for Enid: Here's Our Theory

The first teaser for Wednesday’s second season is finally out, and it promises some dark twists for the most exciting storyline — here’s our own take on what can possibly happen.
There’s still a long wait ahead of Wednesday ’s new season release, but the first teaser might have already given a bunch of reasons to worry about one of the leads.
Dropped a couple of hours ago, the video gives a sneak peek into what’s in store for the second season, now being released in two parts in August and September on Netflix, and it’s not only Wednesday who seems to have gotten into trouble.
Apart from introducing a couple of monsters who the titular character will have to deal with, the teaser also centres more on Emma Myers’ Enid Sinclair — and it might have signalled a huge risk for the show’s best storyline yet.
Wednesday Season 2 Teaser Hints Enid Might Be in Danger
A couple of months back, Morticia Addams’ actress Catherine Zeta-Jones spilled some tea, revealing that Wednesday’s season 2 will be “bigger and more twisted than you can ever imagine” — and, well, it shows.
In the first teaser, Wednesday’s best friend and roommate Enid also makes numerous appearances, but most of them do seem pretty weird and even ominous.
Specifically, in one scene Enid is given a creepy-looking doll she’s genuinely surprised by, with Wednesday also noting that the doll has real human hair. Later, in the teaser’s final sequence, Wednesday tells her mom she does her work best in the dark — while someone who looks like Enid can also be seen behind some kind of bars and in a pretty anxious state.
It’s not clear yet whether the show’s second season will in fact put Wednesday and Enid’s friendship to test with the former trying to save the latter, but this would definitely give a boost to their storyline, potentially making Wednesday realise how much importance Enid’s presence in her life has.
Can Enid Die in Wednesday Season 2?
Wednesday risking it all to get Enid out of danger would be nice, but some suggest there might not be a happy ending like this at all.
“They recently confirmed season 2 of aggtm [A Good Girl's Guide to Murder] where Emma is the main character, but they also confirmed and wrote season 3 on Wednesday. So how would Emma manage to star in both series?”, Redditor BumblebeeSingle7142 reflected in a thread, hinting at a possibility of Emma Myers’ character dying in season 2.
“I'm convinced that they won't let her. After all that happened in S1, Enid' has basically become the second main or at least main support character and the second fan-favourite directly after Wenny”, Zinkenzwerg put in with some hope.
“If that happened, I would genuinely drop the show. The only reason i like Wednesday is the dynamic that wenclair has, take that away and the show becomes run of the mill slop, though to be fair that's probably due to the performances of their actors. If Enid died the quality of the show would significantly drop in quality, i wouldn't even feel depressed, just disappointed”, MembershipProof8463 also chimed in.
When Is Wednesday Season 2 Being Released?
The show’s next season will arrive on Netflix in two parts, with both being released on August 6 and September 3 respectively.
