Who is Simone in Paris Has Fallen?
She appears in the premiere with a throwaway line about a colleague being cheap, then disappears for three episodes. The show is not being careless with her.
Simone is played by Nagisa Morimoto and credited as guest cast in four of the eight episodes of Paris Has Fallen — episodes 1 and 3, broadcast 23 and 30 September 2024, and then episodes 6 and 7, on 21 and 28 October. The series was created by Howard Overman for Canal+, produced by StudioCanal with Gerard Butler's G-BASE, Millennium Media and Urban Myth Films, and sits inside the Has Fallen film franchise. Tewfik Jallab plays protection officer Vincent Taleb, Ritu Arya plays MI6's Zara Taylor working undercover as an HR employee, and Sean Harris plays Jacob Pearce, the former Foreign Legion soldier running a revenge campaign against the French government.
The mole hunt she's the answer to
Most of the back half of the season is the task force trying to work out who inside the operation is feeding Pearce. Episode 6 hands them a suspect: Lucas, a member of the team with gambling debts and a bank account Pearce had used. He is not the mole.
The evidence against Lucas is real. It just belongs to someone standing next to him.
Simone is connected to Lucas — The Review Geek's 2024 recap of episode 6 identifies her as his ex-girlfriend — and that proximity is the access. In the same episode she puts on RAID gear, walks into the headquarters, kills the decoy team assigned to Pearce, intercepts the convoy moving Zara and Pearce, and gets Pearce out in the confusion. Pearce immediately plants a bomb on a busy Parisian street and gives the President 48 hours to hand herself over.
What she wanted
Not money. Episode 7 establishes the motive as personal: she'd previously been involved with one of the men on Pearce's team. She's operating for the same reason Pearce is, one rung down.
What happens to her
Episode 7 closes her out. The task force tracks her down, she fights Zara, and Vincent shoots her in the leg and takes her into custody. Under questioning she gives up the location of the bomb — which does not end the crisis, because Pearce responds by ordering Freja to kidnap Zara's girlfriend Théa (Camille Rutherford) as leverage against Vincent.
The task force spent six episodes underestimating Pearce's reach. Simone is the bill for that.
Worth knowing
Paris Has Fallen runs eight episodes and streams on Hulu in the US, Amazon Prime Video in the UK, SBS in Australia and Lionsgate Play in India. Reviews singled out Sean Harris as the show's main draw, with Arya and Jallab also drawing good notices. A further entry in the television franchise, Apollo Has Fallen, was announced in March 2025, with filming reported in Bristol.
