Who's Gonna Die First in 'Stranger Things' Season 4? Here's What Fan Theory Says

With season 4 of 'Stranger Things ' considered to be the show's scariest and "meanest", according to early reviews, fans start to fear that Steve Harrington might not make it to the end of the story.
In the new trailer, a shirtless Steve is seen apparently trapped in the upside down and fighting something. Alarmed by his desperate look, fans took to Twitter to warn 'Stranger Things' creators that they are not ready to bid adieu to their beloved character.
But some people started to suspect that Joe Keery's character is under threat long before the release of the new trailer.
Fans suggested that Steve might die when trying to save Robin, his crush who came out as a lesbian to him when he finally had the courage to confess his feelings to her in season 3. If it turns out to be true, it will be even more heart-breaking to say good-bye to Steve.
One user – apparently a long-time 'Stranger Things' fan – noted that every time there is a new season coming, people fear that Steve might die for some reason.
However, Steve is not the only one who can die in season 4, according to one popular fan theory. The first trailers have raised concerns that Max could also be in such danger, as at some point she is seen levitating – a sign that she could be possessed by the upside-down.
Volume 1 of season 4 premieres on Netflix on May 27, with the second part to follow on July 1.
