Will Adam Scott Thank Sal Saperstein at the Emmys? ‘The Studio’ Fans Hope So

Severance’s lead actor will have a special mission onstage if he gets a major win at the upcoming Emmys, and it directly connects to Scott’s hilarious cameo in The Studio.
Having not yet recovered from the major Golden Globes celebration in one of the first season's episodes, Seth Rogen's The Studio just got another reason to keep the party going.
One of Apple TV+’s biggest hits this year, The Studio has become a record-breaking matter at the upcoming Emmys, with its first season nabbing 23 nods and making the show the most-nominated freshman comedy series.
The Studio’s guest star Adam Scott is also there with this season’s 27-time nominee Severance, and, despite not being tied to The Studio in this regard, there’s something that the actor can still do if he wins the best actor award.
‘The Studio’ Fans Want Adam Scott to Thank Sal Saperstein in Acceptance Speech
Even though Scott is currently in stiff competition with The Pitt’s Noah Wyle, Slow Horses’ Gary Oldman and The Last of Us’ Pedro Pascal, those who aren’t yet over his cameo in The Studio are keeping their fingers crossed for Scott’s win just for one simple act.
Yes, you guessed it right: now everyone wants Scott to win just for him to make a reference to The Studio's Sal Saperstein in his acceptance speech.
“Let's hope Adam Scott wins for Severance, that would be hilarious”, Redditor Kaoticzer0 said in a thread, replying to another comment that featured Scott’s “I'd like to thank Sal Saperstein” phrase from The Studio’s episode simply titled “The Golden Globes”.
“Will Tim Cook get thanked during the acceptance speech?” tunacow added jokingly.
“I loved the show but I do feel like there’s been a real lack of competition this year for television. Nonetheless, I’d like to thank Sal Saperstein”, Postsnobills said.
‘Severance’ Season 2 Didn’t Deserve Those Record-Breaking 27 Emmy Nods, Fans Say
Such an outcome for Ben Stiller’s sci-fi hit series at the Emmys was more than expected, though some viewers wondered whether the award’s voters had gotten mistaken with the seasons — or had simply robbed other shows’ worthy performers of their deserved nods.
“Genuinely astounded with the amount of nods Severance S2 got. It wasn't nearly as good as the first season, and Andor definitely deserved at least some recognition”, galitsalahat_ ranted in the same thread.
“Dang, how do you watch that season of Severance and give the Emmy nomination to Patricia Arquette instead of Dichen Lachman”, Shaftell noted.
“Severance and The White Lotus overperformed in the supporting side shutting them out. I was hoping they would at least get Patrick Ball and Taylor Dearden with Katherine LaNasa in there”, egorre chimed in.
When Will the Emmys Ceremony Take Place?
The 77th annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on September 14.
