Never say never.

Although the original series of The Big Bang Theory ended only 4 years ago, and during those years fans of the show had a prequel titled Young Sheldon to focus their attention on, the demand to see more of the original cast and characters is still as high as ever.

As soon as the news broke that another The Big Bang Theory spinoff was in the works at HBO MAX, the Internet went crazy with all sorts of possible and impossible theories and suggestions about what it might look like and what it might be about.

From a "next gen" kind of setup to a show dedicated to fixing Raj's love life and finally giving him the finale he deserves, they all sound as possible as each other, while there are still no certain details. The only thing that can be known in advance is whether or not the cast would be willing to return to the show.

And luckily for the fans, Kaley Cuoco, who played Penny, has already said yes! In an interview with E! News, the actress was asked about a possible comeback for a reboot of the series:

“I would definitely be open to some sort of reunion show. I can't wait for the Friends one, and so I'm definitely open to doing one ourselves as well. It does still feel like yesterday that we wrapped,” the actress said.

Of course, this doesn't mean that the actress has been contacted and has already signed on to return to the set. The interview took place before the news of another spinoff broke, so it's possible that Cuoco wasn't even aware of such negotiations. However, this interview gives fans a glimpse of hope to see Penny again.

Perhaps, in a whole new role as a mother to her and Leonard's child.

Would you want to see Penny return to the screens?

If you are interested in finding out what the future holds for the original characters of The Big Bang Theory, and if either of them will appear in the latest spinoff, be sure to keep an eye out for more news and updates from HBO MAX.
