The finale of Yellowjackets ' latest season has just made history by pulling in an impressive 3 million viewers after a week of its release, according to Variety.
The season finale also became the most streamed episode of the entire show yet. The news has sparked a natural conversation about Season 4 that is yet to be announced.

“This news seems like the precursor to the renewal announcement. Could see it being very soon,” Redditor BigSkinny0310 wrote.
“It feels like there's only a question of 1 more season, or two now. Which is a good thing, because the longer we go without hearing anything the more anxious we all get,” Redditor nsfwthrowaway5969 noted.
“Reportedly, renewal isn’t really in question, what’s being hashed out is whether there’ll be two more seasons (as the writers ideally prefer) or not — because the creators would obviously like to know that before they write the fourth season,” another fan, sean_psc on Reddit shared.

While Paramount hasn't officially greenlit Season 4, the writing on the wall seems clear as day. Viewership numbers are high and it would be surprising if we don't get an announcement soon.
On top of that, it was planned from the beginning that the show would have 5 seasons. During Entertainment Weekly interview, Ashley Lyle (one of the creators) said:
“We don't really see this as being more than a five-season show. I think that there are shows that can go forever, but I think that when you're telling such a deeply serialized story and it's about these characters' lives, you want to reach a satisfying conclusion and not just drag things out forever.”
In a more recent interview to AV Club, Sophie Nélisse gave us even more hope for the series renewal. She shared her thoughts on the potential Season 4 details:
“I would imagine this next season being a bit in the wilderness and then their rescue, and then season five being them back home. But that’s just me guessing.”
