Multiverse can be a little challenging to keep track of.

Looks like Wolverine and Deadpool are confirmed to be in the same timeline, and the Ryan Reynolds-led threequel is going to have its own special place on that timeline.

At least that's what Wolverine actor, Hugh Jackman, revealed when speaking on The Empire Film Podcast recently. Set to make a bombshell return as Logan in Deadpool 3, Jackman spilled some tea on how Fox universe and MCU are now apparently connected.

In fact, it turns out that Jackman had to console Logan's director James Mangold on that, but it all turned out great.

"He was actually really cool about it. I did tell him that it took place before our movie, so I wasn't gonna screw with the claws popping out of the grave. So he was relieved by that, and he totally got it. He thought it was a good idea," Jackman said.

According to the actor, nobody wanted to "screw with" the ending of Logan and resurrect characters that already had their swan song. This was a huge relief for fans, even though it's clear that timeline issues (some of which have already been addressed in Spider-Man: No Way Home), will once again come into play in Deadpool 3.

Still, despite the fact that Deadpool 3 is now technically a prequel to Logan, the two movies are set in different dimensions — something that still raises a lot of questions.

"Can you imagine Wolverine going on this huge, cross-dimensional adventure with Deadpool and then being like, "Aight, gotta go back to my sh***y a** universe where everyone I know is [...] dead and I live like a serial killer bum," one Twitter user joked.

However, even though some fans are quite alarmed, others believe there is no reason to panic... yet.

"It's crazy because people are upset that they think it'll affect Logan somehow when a splintered timeline was created after he time traveled which technically does mean Logan still happened but this time he'll be from another revised timeline," Twitter user _LyfeonMars_ explained.
