Team Startefacts

I'm no Aja Romano, but I try.

Marvel, Supernatural, Star Trek, and everything fandom-related in between. If it's worth reading, watching, or listening to — I'm on it, and telling you about it.

I've been at Startefacts since the actual beginning back in 2022.

One of my early assignments was covering CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where I sat in a dark hall geeking out over Doctor Strange footage and thought: God, this is a dream job for me.

Well, turns out — not THE dream job, per se. Entertainment journalism is hard, harder than ever in 2026, with AI threatening your integrity and your work ethic at every turn. But hey: I still try. I love what I do, and I love writing about the MCU, however shitty their movies have gotten over the last few years. I'm still in my chair in a movie theater when a new Nolan movie comes out, or a Guy Ritchie movie, or frankly any Statham movie.

What I cover: the MCU and superhero cinema, long-running genre TV (Supernatural, Star Trek, and their fandoms), fan culture and how it shapes what gets made, action filmmaking and the directors who take it seriously.

How I work: I watch the thing before I write about it — the whole thing, not the recap. I rewatch scenes when my memory isn't reliable, which is often. I check release dates, credits, production history, and source material against primary sources — press notes, the books, the people who made it — not the top-ranking aggregator. If I got something wrong, I fix it and say so in the piece.

Where else to find me: Twitter/X — tips, corrections, and complaints about my Statham opinions all welcome.

The Strawberry Moon isn't pink: where every full moon's name actually comes from
Every June, my feeds fill with people mildly betrayed that the Strawberry Moon rose looking like… the moon. Regular color. Zero berry content.

Hayden Panettiere's screen work runs 32 years, from a 1994 soap to Sleepwalker — and two of her biggest roles were only her voice
America has been typing her name into search all day, and mostly one query behind it: what was she in. The answer runs from a soap opera in 1994 to a thriller released this January, and it takes in a cheerleader who could not be killed, a country star, and two roles that were only ever her voice.

Arnold Schwarzenegger says the gym's most useful minute is the one you want to skip
Every workout has a moment where a little voice suggests you've done enough. The set is getting ugly, your face is doing something unphotographable, and quitting suddenly sounds like self-care.

Tony DiNozzo is back on NCIS from October 6, and Michael Weatherly says the bullpen did fine without him for 10 years
Tony DiNozzo is back in the NCIS bullpen on 6 October, and the first thing fans want to know is not what he has been up to — it is whether Ziva is in the car. The showrunner has now answered that, and the answer is a very carefully worded no.

Big Brother 28 is down to eight people, the finale is on 1 October, and the most important move of week 10 was made six weeks ago. Yash Patel is Head of Household and cannot touch two of the players he most wants gone, because back in week 4 he accepted $5,000 to leave them alone.

Kody and Robyn Brown have left Sister Wives after 16 years, and season 21 returns on October 4 with only the ex-wives
TLC put the news in a title card in the middle of a trailer, which is a cold way to end 16 years. Kody Brown and Robyn are not coming back to Sister Wives. Season 21 arrives on 4 October with the three women who left him — and, going by the trailer, they were as surprised as you are.

A 9/10 review couldn't save Andrew Garfield's new movie from the emptiest theaters of his career
On paper, this should have worked. Andrew Garfield, a man who has suffered beautifully on camera for two decades, leading the Peasants' Revolt of 1381 for Paul Greengrass, the guy who made shaky-cam a love language. R-rated. Swords. Righteous class fury. September counter-programming.

Elvis Presley pulled up in a Cadillac for this burger — 70 years later it costs $10.49
In 1958, the most famous man on the planet was doing push-ups at Fort Hood, Texas, like a regular G.I. nobody. And on weekends, Private Presley did what any 23-year-old with a Cadillac connection would do: he drove to Waco for a burger.
