After a Shocking Bloodbath in Episode 6, Here’s What to Expect From 1923 Season 2 Finale

Taylor Sheridan’s hit Paramount+ show is getting an epic conclusion to its story after a handful of major plot twists in the latest episode.
It’s safe to say things were expected to go bonkers in the final chapters of Taylor Sheridan ’s Western-y series 1923, serving as a prequel to his previous neo-Western hit Yellowstone.
Starring Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford in the leading roles, the show goes back in time to explore the Dutton family’s origins and is about to wrap the story up with the last episode of its second and presumably final season.
Not long before a truly shocking episode 6 aired on Paramount+, it was revealed that the instalment’s finale will get an extended runtime of around 2 hours, arguably promising its audiences to address the unresolved issues and give a satisfying conclusion to the story.
The latest episode might have just thwarted that plan, and fans can expect an even more relentless outcome to the recent bloody events.
1923 Season 2 Episode 6 Shocking Plot Twists, Explained
The current season’s penultimate episode wasn’t messing with fans who believed almost everyone would die by the end of the show’s run, which is what proved itself with several major deaths.
Episode 6 titled The Mountain Teeth of Monsters killed off almost all of the essential recurring characters, leaving only the ones that pushed the series’ storyline the most.
That said, fans got to witness the gruesome ends of Marshal Kent, Pete Plenty Clouds, Runs His Horse, Father Renaud, the British couple Paul and Hillary and, most notably, Jack Dutton.
The latter’s death after encountering Clyde and Alec in the forest is a starting point for two possible major plot twists; one of them involves Jack’s wife Elizabeth who after some serious doubts decided to stay at the ranch and a bit later found out that she was pregnant.
Season 2 Finale Promises to Be Even More Heart-Wrenching and Bloodier Than Episode 6
With the seventh and final episode being the only one that’s left before 1923 wraps it up, fans might now be reassured something even bigger than another series of deaths and revelations is coming on April 6.
Jack’s shocking death will likely become a signal to pull the trigger in the now imminent war between the Duttons and Banner, with the rivalry going onto a higher level and probably resulting in yet another bloodbath with more lead characters to become the next victims.
Additionally, the second season’s concluding episode might delve more into Elizabeth’s moral dilemma now that she’s facing tougher times with a child coming and her husband forever gone.
Since there has been a dispute over the family leaving the ranch to get a safer life, Elizabeth’s grief will probably be accompanied by her realisation that Jack had in fact died trying to save his family’s home and thus hadn’t really considered abandoning all the danger the ranch was promising him for his wife and child’s sake.
1923’s season 2 episode 7 is scheduled to air on April 6 on Paramount+.
