Single's Inferno spent four seasons sending couples off its island, and fans spent four seasons learning not to get attached.

The Netflix Korean dating show strands a group of singles on a deserted island called Inferno, where the only way off it, for a night, is to match with someone and win a trip to a luxury hotel called Paradise. Hong Jin-kyung, Lee Da-hee, Kyuhyun, Hanhae and Dex host from a studio. Season 5 ran from January 20 to February 10, 2026, and Netflix followed it with a six-episode reunion on February 14.

Seasons 1 to 4: the track record

Before season 5, no couple from the show had been confirmed as still dating. Here's how the earlier finales played out:

  • Season 1 (2021) — four couples left the island, and none of them lasted. Kim Hyeon-joong summed up his pairing with Song Ji-a: "We have remained on friendly terms." The season's best-known love story happened off the show: Choi Si-hun married the singer Ailee in 2024.
  • Season 2 (2022) — Kim Se-jun and Lee So-e split about a month after it aired. Jo Yoong-jae and Choi Seo-eun shared photos and even held a joint fan meeting, but they've never confirmed a relationship.
  • Season 3 (2023) — Lee Gwan-hee and Choi Hye-seon did date, then announced their split in a YouTube video, citing distance. Choi Min-woo and Yu Si-eun have never addressed their status.
  • Season 4 (2025) — no couple from the season was still together by January 2026. Yuk Jun-seo said on MBC's The Manager that he and Lee Si-an felt more like "brother and sister."

Season 5: what the reunion revealed

Five couples left the island together at the end of season 5. The reunion, filmed about a month before the season premiered, sorted them quickly:

  • Kim Min-gee and Song Seung-il — over, and not amicably. Min-gee said the contact had been "more one-sided," and that "the person I liked is still stuck in Inferno."
  • Kim Go-eun and Woo Sung-min — over. Go-eun agreed during the reunion to have dinner with Jo I-geon instead.
  • Choi Mina Sue and Lee Sung-hun — over. They didn't go on a single date after the show.
  • Lee Joo-young and Kim Jae-jin — still seeing each other, quietly.
  • Park Hee-sun and Lim Su-been — together, and saying so.

Two out of five is the show's best result in five seasons.

The names to root for

Hee-sun and Su-been are the first couple the show can point to. They went on five more dates in the month after filming, before Hee-sun went back to the U.S., where she studies at Carnegie Mellon University. The distance didn't end it. They kept calling for months, and Hee-sun has since come back to Korea as an exchange student at Seoul National University.

Joo-young and Jae-jin haven't made anything official, but they've kept showing up for each other. Jae-jin, a dancer, goes to Joo-young's art exhibitions, and she comes to his performances.

"We're still in contact and doing well. Really," Joo-young said at the reunion.

Jae-jin went a step further: "I thought I wanted to get to know Joo Young more seriously." Neither couple has announced a breakup since the reunion aired in February.

For the record: during the season, Su-been said that if he fell for someone on the island, he'd make the relationship public. At the reunion, he did.
