As an Adolescence Fan, I’m Giggling and Kicking My Feet After The Studio Latest Episode

Apple TV+ might have just given the best present to everyone still gushing over Netflix’s biggest show right now.
We love chaotic shows, whether it’s a heartbreaking story of a messy trial unraveling harsh truth about a 13-year-old or a gripping drama following a big movie studio’s execs through all the hardships on the way to success.
It’s fair to say Adolescence has left many in awe, but still was way too short for a series made with a technique that, I have no doubt, will now define some upcoming big projects in Hollywood.
With each episode shot in just one single take, Netflix ’s drama is mesmerising in the way it delivers an immersive experience to its audiences, but there’s more to it in Apple TV+ ’s new potential hit that just dropped on the streamer’s platform.
Apple TV+’s The Studio Is a Must for All Adolescence Fans
Yes, these two do seem like they belong to completely different cinematic universes, but hold on for a minute.
Even with its storyline revolving around a movie producer trying to make peace with capricious and extravagant prominent figures in the industry, Seth Rogen ’s The Studio has at least one episode which, judging by my own experience, is something that will keep all the attention of Adolescence’s fans till the very end.
Now set to continue its run for several more upcoming weeks, the show premiered with its two first episodes a couple of days ago, with the second one turning into a pure chaos thanks to everyone’s beloved one-shot technique.
Helmed by Seth Rogen himself, the episode quite literally follows the actor’s new movie studio boss Matt Remick through the day of his catastrophic visit to the set of Sarah Polley’s new movie, The Silver Lake starring Past Lives’ actress Greta Lee.
As a big cinema fan himself and a responsible leader, Matt wants to show his involvement in the process, though, ultimately, no one else wants his involvement after all.
The filming process goes into complete madness with everyone being sick and tired of Remick destroying everything on his way, which turns out to be even more hilarious with the non-stop camera present at the moment.
Adolescence May Become an Anthology Series — As It Should
It’s still hard to imagine Netflix’s number one show and one of the most watched series in history would go away that easily, which is why we keep the hope that its lead actor’s words will ultimately turn out to be true.
As Adolescence keeps breaking the streamer’s previous records, Stephen Graham, who in the show portrayed Eddie Miller, has recently spilled some tea in an interview with Variety, suggesting that “there’s the possibility of developing another story”.
His real-life partner and co-star Hannah Walters gave another promising update about the show’s future, saying that “there’s so much mileage in the one-shot and so much mileage in investing into human nature again and looking at something else”.
