This MCU supervillain may be under fire for the alleged assault and harassment, but that's not stopping Majors from becoming one of Marvel's highest-paid actors (yet).

Yes, he is right up there with the Avengers stars.

Since 2021, Jonathan Majors has been climbing the MCU ladder all the way up to international fame. He first appeared in Loki, our favorite villain's standalone show, and then made a comeback in 2023's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

If all goes well, Majors will reprise his role as Kang the Conqueror in 2025's Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and later in 2026's Avengers: Secret Wars.

As the name suggests, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will revolve around Majors' character and backstory. Variety reports that the rising star can take home $20 million (with the back-end compensation) for the movie.

To put this in perspective, this is the same salary that Scarlett Johansson earned for her titular role in Black Widow, and she has been in the industry and in the MCU for much, much longer than Majors!

The gender gap has disappeared, you say…

Anyway, Jonathan can get all that and more if he's cleared of all the charges. The actor was arrested back in March on charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment put forward by one of his alleged victims.

While his team has been building a strong case for Majors' defense, several more women have come forward with more or less the same accusations.

May 8 will be an important day – a court hearing on the domestic violence charges will be held.

While the star may be able to clear his name, it remains to be seen if this will salvage his career. He has already been dropped by his publicist and management team.

Marvel has not severed ties with Majors yet, but the company is closely monitoring the situation, and everything could be in jeopardy for him in a matter of days.

We just hope that the real villains (whoever they are) are brought to justice and that we will get to enjoy Majors' portrayal of Kang the Conqueror in more MCU movies (provided he is innocent, of course).

Fingers crossed for a happy ending.
