This time, the action moves from a cozy cabin to a huge corporation (not Lumon).

The second season of Severance, a sci-fi psychological thriller about the employees of a company that splits their memories into two, has just begun.

Although Adam Scott has performed in hit shows such as Parks and Recreation and Big Little Lies, it was the Ben Stiller show that made him an international star (once again).

However, the actor has not limited himself to on-screen acting – in 2021, Adam Scott voiced one of the characters in the highly acclaimed Netflix animated project Inside Job. And you should definitely see it.

What Is Inside Job About?

Reagan is a brilliant but completely unsociable inventor who works at Cognito Inc, a government organization that comes up with conspiracy theories.

She was due for a long-awaited promotion, but the coveted position had to be shared: the boss assigned her a charismatic but clueless partner, Brett, who will be in charge of communicating with the team.

Reagan is upset by this arrangement, but gradually agrees that it is all for the best. After all, the inability to communicate and eternal loneliness once killed her father, who once worked at the same company but was fired after a nervous breakdown.

Inside Job Is Made by The Creators of Gravity Falls

Inside Job is a project from the creators of Gravity Falls, and in this case, it's not a marketing ploy, it's the truth. Alex Hirsch produced the animated series, and screenwriter Shion Takeuchi served as showrunner.

There are some similarities between the projects: the Netflix show resembles Gravity Falls in its visuals, puzzles, snappy intro, mystical vibe, and the dynamics of the main characters.

However, Gravity Falls offered a universal coming-of-age story with a carefully crafted parody universe, while Inside Job is aimed at an adult audience, dedicated to the crisis of yesterday's college students, and filled with pop culture references.

Inside Job Is Reminiscent of the First Episodes of Rick and Morty

Both Hirsch and Takeuchi are equally talented writers of animated comedy, who are even more successful working within the framework of adult ratings.

Takeuchi's first episode, about replacing the president with a robot, and Hirsch's episode, about resolving a PR crisis after the head of a secret government makes an offensive comment about a race of reptoids, certainly achieve the drive of the best early episodes of Rick and Morty.

Inside Job Is Full of Wild Concepts and Ideas

Inside Job universe includes a secret shadow government, mind-manipulating 5G towers, reptoids, and satanists who control stock indexes through sacrifice. Adam Scott, for example, voices Ron Staedtler, a member of the Illuminati who begins a relationship with the main character.

So rest assured that this sci-fi comedy, which audiences gave an impressive 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, will not let you get bored.
