Star-studded line-up and behind-the-scenes access in Ozzy’s last live performance for Back to the Beginning.

A film capturing Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s final concert, titled Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow, is scheduled for release in cinemas early in 2026.

This 100-minute concert documentary chronicles the band’s sold-out stadium show held at Birmingham’s Villa Park, currently in production by Mercury Studios. The film is described as “a love letter to Ozzy and the pioneering sound of Black Sabbath,” offering a condensed version of the epic all-day event.

The original concert was a historic occasion, featuring thunderous renditions of classics such as ‘War Pigs,’ ‘Iron Man,’ ‘Children of the Grave,’ and a show-stopping ‘Paranoid.’ The film promises an intensely personal and electrifying farewell from the godfather of heavy metal, with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews from this iconic live performance.

The event was hosted by Jason Momoa and included performances from legendary acts like Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Ronnie Wood, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Slayer, Pantera, Tool, Yungblud, Papa V/Ghost, as well as a drum-off featuring Tool’s Danny Carey, Blink-182’s Travis Barker, and Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Following its theatrical debut in early 2026, a physical edition of Back to the Beginning will be released later in the year. Further details about the film’s rollout are expected to be announced in the coming months.

This concert marked a historic milestone: it was the first time in 20 years that the original Black Sabbath line-up performed together. The event drew an audience of 42,000 fans at Villa Park, with an additional 3 million viewers tuning in via livestream.

Ozzy Osbourne was seated during the performance, having recently recovered from multiple spinal surgeries and ongoing battles with Parkinson’s disease. The legendary singer will explore his health struggles and his final concert in a separate documentary titled No Escape From Now, set to premiere later this year on Paramount+.
