Who knows, that might be the next huge step in the actress’ career.

While many soap opera actors and actresses get used to the specifics of working for the genre and feel comfortable and happy enough to never leave, there are some who still express the ambition to explore other genres.

Unfortunately, there's still a line between them and other TV and movie actors, although it's getting thinner by the day. From comedy to blockbusters to biopics, with the discipline that soap stars bring to the set, all doors should be open to them. And they will be more than happy to step up and give their best.

For example, The Bold and The Beautiful's Heather Tom, who has played Katie Logan on the show for 16 years, is very open about who she would like to portray one day. She shared her thoughts with Soap Opera Digest, naming 4 very influential women who have all had very eventful lives.

“If I were playing an actor, maybe Marilyn Monroe or Bette Davis or Katharine Hepburn. Honestly, Vivien Leigh had such a tragic life story battling mental illness. It would be an honor to play any of those women,” the actress said.

It's clear from this answer that the actress is not afraid to take on any acting challenge. While it is always difficult to portray people struggling with mental illness, it is especially difficult to do so while paying tribute to the real person who had such an impact on the world. But when you hear the respect behind Tom's answer, it's clear she would do any biopic justice.

Until the actress gets an invitation to audition for one of the female roles she listed above, you can enjoy her performance on The Bold and the Beautiful. The sister show to another CBS daytime drama The Young and The Restless airs Monday through Friday, so tune in to catch the upcoming episodes and see what the future holds for Katie Logan.

And if you want to check out the actress in some other projects, you can see her in recurring roles in many other TV dramas, from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Dr. Solwey's assistant to Lucifer, where she appeared twice as Mel Graham.
