Bruce Campbell Hated This $874 Million Superhero Flop, Calling It "Stupid"
And it's hard to argue with his logic.
Bruce Campbell is a unique figure in world cinema – he's not just an actor, he's a cult hero and a god among horror and fantasy fans, the eternal Ash from The Evil Dead.
Over the course of his decades-long career, he has earned the right to speak his mind, regardless of Hollywood's political correctness. And he exercises this right.
Bruce Campbell Says That 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' "Never Should've Been Made"

In an interview, Campbell lashed out at Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, one of the most ambitious and disastrous projects in the DC Cinematic Universe. Campbell said:
“Batman v Superman. Stupid, stupid, stupid concept. Never should've been made. Superman who can like, make the world go backwards with centrifugal force.
Batman can't do that. Superman can frickin' fly. He's the Man of Steel. All he has – one hand on Batman's esophagus, the story is over. So they spent a lot of money kidding themselves.”
What Is 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' About?
Zack Snyder's movie centers on the clash between two of DC's iconic heroes. Tired of fighting crime in Gotham City, Batman sees Superman as an uncontrollable threat.
Superman, for his part, is tired of being a puppet of politicians and society. As the world debates which hero is more valuable, Batman devises a plan to destroy the Kryptonian.
The conflict culminates in an epic battle, but a new threat intervenes in the form of the genetically engineered monster Doomsday, who is capable of destroying all life.
'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Was Truly a Controversial Movie, but It Improved With the Director's Cut

Zack Snyder's 2016 movie grossed $874 million on a $250 million budget, but the main thing wasn't the money, it was the reaction. Batman v Superman divided audiences into two irreconcilable camps.
Some praised the visuals, dark aesthetic, and ambition, while others criticized the uneven plot, Jesse Eisenberg's one-dimensional Lex Luthor, and Ben Affleck's depressed-looking Batman.
However, there's another version, the director's cut, that's superior to the theatrical cut. It adds scenes that explain the characters' motivations, removes Lois Lane from her role as a damsel in distress, and adds logic to the plot.
If you're going to watch this movie, watch the Director's Cut.
