The Emmys has always had a reserved place for The Bear’s all seasons, but the show’s fans are sick and tired of seeing the TV Academy making the same mistake over and over again.

There was no room for jokes and fun in The Bear’s season 4, with that major cliffhanger staying there until the hit show’s next fifth season arrives sometime next year.

Despite some backlash that The Bear’s last couple of installments received, it still secured a pretty decent amount of 13 nominations, including a double nod for Ayo Edebiri for both acting and directing.

However, there’s another Emmy issue that fans have repeatedly pointed out — and that might have caused some trouble for other TV comedies that weren’t nominated.

‘The Bear’ Fans Are Done With Emmys Calling It Comedy Series

Even though it might seem like a pretty hilarious kitchen mess blended with dark humour and some dramatical twists in the first season, things got much more complicated and serious in The Bear’s seasons 3 and 4.

Nominated for the outstanding comedy series, The Bear’s season 3 follows Jeremy Allen White’s Carmy who has no time for laughs as he and his team work real hard to make their restaurant’s grand opening happen.

While it’s all the way more concerning and still not funny in the brand new fourth season, somehow the show still gets into the Comedy Series categories, which doesn’t make any sense for The Bear’s fans.

“I can’t remember the last time JAW [Jeremy Allen White], Bernthal or Jamie Lee made me laugh in this show lol. Like what clip are they gonna use for the nominee package haha”, Redditor wondered in a thread.

“I would love to watch a comedy series starring these people”, domewebs added jokingly.

‘The Bear’ Fans Are Rooting for Ayo Edebiri’s Best Directing Win

Despite the third season being far from what fans expected after the highly acclaimed second instalment, it still had a major highlight, featuring the directorial debut of Sydney’s actress Ayo Edebiri in the episode 6 titled “Napkins”.

Apart from a nod for her directing, Edebiri also received an acting nomination as the best leading actress, which fans think is also fully deserved.

“I SAID she was doing the MOST this season and I am so pleased to be proven right, I love Ayo”, Catezero said, with many also noting that “Napkins” was one of the best episodes in the entire show.

“Double Emmy nominee Ayo Edebiri!! Honestly I was really worried they weren't going to get in for some of these given the lack of press and campaigning and lackluster response to S3”, Ok-Shame-2074 rejoiced.

When Will the Emmys Take Place?

The ceremony is scheduled for a live broadcast on September 14.
