Should we agree to disagree and wait for what comes next?

The first live action series in the Star Wars franchise Mandalorian season 3 was officially released on Disney Plus on March, 1st. Many fans had been patiently waiting for the premiere and could not wait to see how the storyline goes.

But not only the loyal franchise followers were ready to watch the first episodes as soon as they came out. Many critics shared their personal reactions to Chapters 17 and 18 which kicked off the season as well.

Critic reviews were overwhelmingly good, with most of them praising how much action and lore was included.

CBR's Lissete Lanuza Sáenz wrote the following: "The Mandalorian Season 3 is like putting your favorite sweater back on after returning from a long vacation".

Others seem to agree, saying that the new season perfectly captures "classic Star Wars vibes" and even suggesting that Mandalorian might have "the most interesting storytelling in all of Star Wars."

Despite the obvious success among critics, Mandalorian fans' opinions on the first two episodes seem to be more mixed.

While some agreed with journalists and reviewers and found themselves happy with the slow re-introduction to the world and character arcs, others found the slow tempo quite disappointing.

The discussion sparked on Reddit when one viewer shared their opinion on season 3 beginning. "The story-telling and dialogue was... ehh," they shared, fully prepared to be downvoted.

Surprisingly, that did not happen, and many people actually agreed. According to fans, great visuals and many action scenes could not save Mandalorian from poor dialogue and overall lackluster writing.

Some even came to the conclusion that these episodes were intended just to bring more attention to the show.

Two episodes that have been released may have not been the most important in terms of storyline but everyone seems to agree that it is too early to judge the whole season yet.

Overall, fans are staying optimistic regardless of what they saw, as it can always be easily turned around.
