Don’t Miss the Chance to Watch My Favorite Sandra Bullock Movie Before It Leaves Netflix

Frankly, I love all the underrated movies this actress has turned into real gems, and it's unclear to me what the critics don't like about pure comedies.
Sandra Bullock is one of Hollywood's most brilliant actresses. It's easy to understand The Big Bang Theory 's Raj's obsession with her, as she was a true rom-com star back in the '00s, and the legacy is still with her.
While there are many cozy movies she was a part of, like Forces of Nature, 28 Days and of course Two Weeks Notice, there's another 2000 movie that is my ultimate choice when it comes to Bullock. Of course it's Miss Congeniality, the film that made her a true star for people all over the world.
For me, Miss Congeniality is a comfort movie that I turn to when I need a self-esteem boost, or when I feel like time has stopped for me and I am stagnating. And it's really sad that Netflix will be removing it from their library on April 1. So don't miss your chance to binge it again (or even for the first time) on the platform before it moves elsewhere.
What Is Miss Congeniality About?
Miss Congeniality is a movie that perfectly blends action-drama with humor, adding a number of truly heartfelt and transformative moments to the story. The film follows a rather tired but tough FBI agent, Gracie Hart, played by Bullock, who ends up in a beauty pageant for the sake of saving the world.
Hart is this really no-nonsense agent who is not even considered a woman by her colleagues and is seen as a kind of buddy. She despises all things girly and when she realizes that she has to become the new Miss New Jersey and participate in the Miss United States competition to prevent a bomb threat, she almost loses her mind.
Then comes my favorite part of the movie: the one where she has to go through the process of becoming a real beauty queen, and the casting of Michael Caine as the quirky and insightful pageant coach is just what you need. There's no doubt that her makeover scene in a little lavender dress is one of the most iconic moments ever created in cinema.
“They aren’t making romcoms like this anymore. We don’t really have Sandra Bullocks currently either. What a movie. Forever one of my favs!” Redditor Cold_Breadfruit_9794 said.
I really don't know why, but the industry isn't that keen on such comedies anymore. Critics gave the film only a 41% on Rotten Tomatoes, but the love for this slice-of-life drama around the world is tremendous.
