In episode 6, Elsbeth opens all the truth about her investigation into Captain Wagner to officer Kaya Blanke who the main character became friends with in the beginning of the show.

Though Elsbeth had to make a really hard choice of whether revealing all her secret cards was worth it, she nonetheless opted for not aggravating the whole situation. This decision comes as something comforting not only for Elsbeth herself, but for her friend Kaya as well.

As Carra Patterson, who got to portray Kaya Blanke in the series, revealed, she’s happy to see the plot taking such a turn despite the fact that the whole story will most likely come to big changes after this.

According to Patterson, she feels like her character is relieved now because she really needed someone who she could trust and who would never turn out to be somewhat shady.

The actress then clarified that without such a plot twist Kaya’s loneliness in this regard would last much longer, but now she’s accompanied by someone who “is trying to do the right thing, even though it's making her question these people, you know, Noonan and Wagner, who she's had a ton of respect for”.

Patterson admitted that, even though it came as some kind of shock for her character, for the latter it was important to know that Elsbeth is up for justice no matter what, “even though it's making some good people look bad.”

While Kaya has yet a lot to discover about Elsbeth’s bombshell investigations, the plot may still go in other wild directions that we’re probably not ready for. Elsbeth’s last two episodes will air on May 2 and May 9 respectively.
