It's almost like fans don't believe Marvel's hype anymore.

With Marvel actively exploring new genres, 'She-Hulk: Attorney at Law' is being touted as a 'Fleabag'-style comedy. Tatiana Maslany 's Jennifer Walters has already broken the fourth wall in the newly-released trailer, with fans immediately grasping the spirit many people enjoyed in Phoebe Waller-Bridges' show.

However, it turns out that people are not very eager to trust Marvel. According to many fans, it's unlikely for 'She-Hulk' to properly handle the comedy aspect, especially after another Marvel character, Deadpool, has already famously done it.

Some people recalled 'Moon Knight ', and how Marvel pledged that it would be one of the studio's most brutal projects. The show, however, turned out to offer a pretty modest selection of scenes that one could actually call brutal, even though source material had plenty of episodes to take inspiration from.

Now, fans complain, Marvel just seems to exaggerate everything they do and set up high expectations during promotion that the studio does not bother to fulfill.

"This is one of the main reasons why I despise Marvel now. If they were self-aware or honest and just admitted that their content is just for fun and family friendly I'd respect it. But it seems like the people creating Marvel content are so insecure about what they're making they have to constantly exaggerate about how groundbreaking or amazing it is. Like it's not even normal marketing or PR talk that you see with other shows/films it's just too much." – /laserfox90

According to some people, it is mainly because of Marvel's constant attempts to appeal to as many people as possible.

"They keep doing that these days. Take something of high quality as the concept, adapt it and then butcher it in post-production and editing to make sure it has the biggest demographic mass appeal by not offending anyone." – /skolioban

With the frustration over 'Moon Knight' still fresh in their memories, fans are cautious to get excited about 'She-Hulk', especially as it ramps up comparisons to 'Fleabag'. Many of those who watched Waller-Bridges' show are full of skepticism about Marvel's ambitions, predicting that 'She-Hulk' "ain't gonna hold a candle to it".

We will get the chance to see for ourselves when 'She-Hulk' premieres on Disney Plus on August 17.
