Looks like Bloody Mary has officially dethroned The Goo Goo Muck as the Wednesday dance soundtrack…

We all love Netflix 's Wednesday for many reasons. It has it all: horrifyingly beautiful scenery, unexpected plotlines, tricky relationships and true friendships and also great cast and excellent music choice.

But hardly anyone will argue that the glue that sticks all together and makes fans binge-watching the series is Jenna Ortega 's performance of Wednesday Addams.

The main character has given the audience a lot of trends to follow. Since fall 2022, when Wednesday landed on the streaming platform, probably every girl has tried a Miss Adams-inspired hairstyle or changed their wardrobe to total black.

But the catchiest trend in the series is undoubtedly her dance scene set to Goo Goo Muck by The Cramps that occurs in season 1 episode 4 named Woe What a Night.

That dance literally took over the world. All social media platforms were exploding with "pov" videos of Wednesday's dance. But one detail made it all a bit more interesting.

See, TikTok saved the dance moves, but changed the music to Lady Gaga 's Bloody Mary remix version instead. True fans are sure – the original song is a way better fit; but can they argue with millions of views?

"Bloody Mary only fits the beat of the dance when it's sped up. Goo Goo Muck fits with the weird dance. It's a weird song. Personally, I think Bloody Mary doesn't fit with Wednesday's weird dance," Reddit user JacktheBoi16 said.

From the moment the dance trend took over the Internet, the disputes about which song is better immediately started. Gaga fans wanted to see Ortega actually dancing to Bloody Mary and…well, their prayers have been heard.

A funny teaser has been released to promote Jenna Ortega's hosting of Saturday Night Live. In the clip, Jenna is in the studio talking to the members of Please Don't Destroy, who are all dressed in Wednesday Addams attire.

It appears that they wanted to recreate the dance with the actress, but when she said "let's do something else" they immediately tried to show how indifferent they are to the topic. So Jenna feels sorry for them and then… there's the dance!

Fans noticed that the dance is finally performed to Lady Gaga, but not the original Goo Goo Muck song.

"Interesting that Wednesday Addams dancing to a sped-up Lady Gaga song started out as an internet fan video (in the series, she danced to a different song), but it became so viral that Netflix adopted it for official publicity. Now, here the song is again as an SNL promo," YouTube user pagano60 said.

Well, fans still enjoyed the promo and Ortega's little homage to Lady Gaga's Bloody Mary, no matter how bad they feel for The Goo Goo Muck. Sometimes, you just have to make way for the power of the Internet.
