Who doesn't love a good old legal drama, right? Especially when a powerful personal drama is thrown into the mix and the stakes are raised. Early last year, a great one premiered on CBS, the show called Matlock, which already has a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The story centers on the titular character, Madeline Matlock, who joins a large law firm under the guise of a naive old lady who just wants to get back to work to support her grandchild. In reality, however, she has a bigger plan: to find out who was responsible for the decision that was part of the reason her daughter overdosed and died.
The first season of the show is already on its way to the finish line, so the tension is high and each episode promises jaw-dropping drama. In the latest episode, we almost thought Matty's secret was going to be revealed! Luckily, everything turned out fine, but the episode still seems to have given fans a lot to think about.
Redditors have begun to share their predictions for what will happen next and how the latest revelations will affect the entire story. Of course, Shae is at the center it all. Earlier, we found out that she and Julian were having an affair, but fans aren't sure if that's what really happened.
“Julian didn’t have an affair with Shae, and Shae is actually Senior’s daughter. For whatever reason it’s a big secret, which is why Julian won’t let Olympia see the trust fund information,” Redditor InternetUser0737 said.
This actually sounds like something that can be true, since at the end of the episode we witnessed this awkward dialogue between Matty and Senior…
But there's another, more diabolical plan the fans have in mind for Julian.
“Julian is “Joey” from the email, meaning Matty’s daughter is the one Julian had an affair with (not Shae) and he is Alfie’s father. This complicates Matty’s relationship with everyone at the office, but most especially Senior (because he’s Alfie’s grandfather) and Olympia (because Matty’s daughter was Julian’s mistress),” Redditor InternetUser0737 said.
