No Reparo Fixes Radcliffe’s Worst-Rated Film: In 'Harry Potter', He Lands in Azkaban for This

And the actor himself actually gave a good performance — but there’s nothing else to praise.

Daniel Radcliffe is 36. It’s been 14 years since he left Hogwarts, but fans still follow his post-Potter life with interest. Today, people often mention Guns Akimbo or Swiss Army Man.

These films showed he could do more than wave a wand. But birthdays are also a time to remember the low points. And yes, he starred in a film more painful than Dobby’s death.

Beast of Burden (2018) failed across the board. IMDb — 3.6, Rotten Tomatoes — 25% from critics and just 11% from viewers.

The premise sounds promising: an ex-soldier, a drug-running pilot, a double-cross between the DEA and the cartel. Classic Hollywood setup. But instead of a tense thriller, we get a flat, slow film.

Radcliffe spends 80% of the screen time sitting in a cockpit and answering phone calls. From his wife. From a drug dealer. From his insurance agent. Unlimited minutes, limited plot.

Critics didn’t hold back:

"A string of nonsense where even drama attempts cause laughter, not emotion."

Radcliffe does what he can. Even the harshest reviews praise his effort. But it’s not enough. Not even the Boy Who Lived can save a film where the climax is a dropped call.

The movie has no energy, no visual style, and no respect for its genre. It tries to copy better action films, but fails. By the end, the viewer is just waiting for the credits — like an Avada Kedavra in Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
