In the mystery action films, Reilly portrayed Mary Morstan (Watson), the wife of Jude Law’s Dr. Watson and the strongest opponent of Robert Downey Jr. ’s Sherlock Holmes’ presence in her husband’s life.
4. Above Suspicion (2009–2012)
Kelly Reilly’s first lead role in a TV show, Above Suspicion saw the actress cast as Anna Travis — an aspiring young detective striving to become as great as her father. Her first case happens to be that of a mysterious serial killer, but she’s not alone: investigating the maniac’s case with her on-screen colleagues for four years boosted Reilly’s career significantly.

In 2012’s Flight, the actress portrays Nicole Maggen, another patient of the hospital where Washington’s character is trapped after a terrifying plane crash. Throughout her career, Kelly Reilly has dipped her toes into many genres, and Eli is definitely her strongest horror performance. In this 2019 movie, the Yellowstone star portrays Rose Miller, the mother of the film’s young protagonist. Rowena Drake, the main antagonist of 2023’s A Haunting in Venice, is arguably Kelly Reilly’s biggest role outside of Yellowstone to date.
