One of Nicolas Cage’s Best Movies Is Finally Available on Prime Video Now

One of the lead actors in action-packed movies of the early 2000s, Nicholas Cage had his own career ups and downs, but the recent years have brought the actor back to the screen with so many new phenomenal roles, and one of those movies just dropped on Prime Video, roughly a year after its worldwide release.

With universally acclaimed movies like Pig and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Cage has already proved that all the talks about “Cage Renaissance” had their reasons after all, but this comedy drama made his return to high-profile cinema even grander, also granting him yet another Golden Globe nomination.

Having premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and then released in theatres in November of 2023, Dream Scenario came as yet another big moment for Nicholas Cage’s revived movie career and can now potentially get a second life since it’s finally available for watching on Prime Video.

Now a renowned satirical drama, Dream Scenario follows Cage’s Paul Matthews, a middle-aged evolutionary biology professor whose life receives a sudden plot twist when he starts appearing in everyone’s dreams.

Enjoying the newly found fame at first, Paul soon realises that his stardom might bring its own and very dangerous consequences, especially when the whole situation takes a new sudden and dark turn that makes everyone turn against the previously beloved professor.

Dream Scenario Is a Certified Rotten Tomatoes Hit

Upon its theatrical release, the movie received warm welcome from both critics and the audiences, eventually making it to the list of the best movies released in 2023 with impressive scores of 91% and 68% on Rotten Tomatoes.

With most critics and viewers gushing over Cage’s memorable performance, many went on praising Dream Scenario’s story and calling it some sort of an extended episode for Netflix ’s sci-fi hit show Black Mirror, while also ranting about the film’s social message amid the rise of the omnipresent cancel culture.
