A questionable yet very entertaining sight for any child.

When you become an actor, you don't necessarily think about what you're going to do when you have kids. Parenting is hard enough, but living in the spotlight has to make it even harder. Constant access to your entire filmography via the Internet certainly adds to the challenge, making it hard to avoid unwanted questions.

While some celebrity parents are known for being strict about the content their children consume, others are more humorous about it. Rather than dreading uncomfortable questions, it's easier to answer them before kids start asking.

Thus, Ewan McGregor recently shared a very unexpected scene he’s rather proud to show his children.

“I did use to show my kids ‘the toilet scene.’ Just for a laugh. It’s a unique situation, perhaps, for a father to be able to show his children footage of him going down the toilet,” the actor said at Karlovy Vary Film Festival, mentioning, of course, the moment from Trainspotting.

Although Trainspotting wouldn't be the first choice for parents to show their children, depending on the age, it could be both educational and laugh-out-loud funny.

The movie about the struggles of addiction was a tough pill to swallow for many adult viewers, thanks to McGregor's great acting, but for teenagers the experience could be seen as something influential.

However, if this happened years earlier when kids were at the age where bathroom talk was the height of humor, this scene becomes even more appropriate for a family movie night.

As much as we all appreciate the deep metaphor of how addicts are willing to go the extra mile for their addiction, watching someone swim down the toilet is extremely entertaining when you're young. The grossness of it all just adds to the experience.

If you feel like you're ready to show this exact moment to your kids, or just want to re-watch Trainspotting to fill a spare evening, you can stream it on MAX, Hulu, or Amazon Prime Video.
