Paradise Finale Was GOAT, but Season 2 Still Needs to Answer These 4 Burning Questions

The series gave us a satisfying finale and answered the main question, but there is still a lot left to find out. So let's hope season 2 will focus on unraveling the remaining mysteries.
When a new show arrives on any platform, especially the one that hasn't gotten enough marketing in the media, you turn it on rather suspiciously. For those who picked Paradise that way, the experience of watching it was definitely a pleasant surprise, because the show is amazing.
Paradise is a sci-fi post-apocalyptic show that mixes present time with flashback scenes to solve the puzzle of a murder and tell the viewers about the much bigger mystery that is going on. Each episode of the 8-episode season is filled with plot twists and jaw-dropping revelations that make the show a perfect watch.
In the finale, we finally find out who killed the president, but with this discovery, we learn that the universe is still hiding so many answers from us. So here are 4 burning questions that the show's creators must address in season 2.
1. Is Teri Really Alive?
The first thing that comes to mind is definitely the question of Teri's life. At the end of episode 7 we learn that Sinatra has a recording of her saying that she is alive and looking for her husband and children. And while Xavier believed that the recording was real, many fans are sure that it was fake because of one small detail.
The thing is, during the show, Teri emphasized her status as Dr. several times, but in the recording she stated her name as Ms. Fans believe that Sinatra made a mistake and the recording is actually some sort of AI fake. However, there's another, more complex theory that comes from another fan.
“The world is over. She hasn't practiced medicine in 3 years. I don't think she really cares about the title on a recording. She was found in the woods somewhere starving. The show emphasized the doctor part because later on it's going to be revealed that she was in some way in on the planning of the apocalypse,” Redditor No-Sandwich1683 said.
2. What’s Left of the World?
The last episode gives us a glimpse of Cal's notes that he hid in one of the library books. The notes state that there are tens of millions of people still alive out there. It also states that the forests in Oregon are recovering, but there has been a massive migration eastward. Some facts about how low the temperatures were in some states, etc.
The question remains: Is the rest of the world still habitable? How many years will it take to recover from the disaster? And how the survivors will react when they find out they were left to die…
“55 million people? D*mn. That’s a lot. Survivors are going to have good cause to want to bring harm to those in Paradise. In season 2, I hope people find out Sinatra is the big bad,” Redditor Reasonably__Doubtful said.
3. Will Xavier Find Out the Truth About Who Killed Billy?
Billy's storyline was probably the second most tragic after Cal's. At first we see him being good friends with X, and as Xavier himself said, Billy was like a little brother to him. But for a brief moment, when Dr. Torabi told him that Billy was dangerous, Xavier lost his faith in him. That only lasted a moment, but it was already too late.
We soon learn that he was used by Sinatra to kill the survivors outside. And when he confronted her, she said she had another sniper ready to kill Billy herself. Turns out it was Jane... And even though Sinatra told Xavier that it was she who killed Billy, X never found out whose hands she used to do it.
4. Also… What Is It With Jane?
The biggest reveal was definitely that Jane was not the sweet and troubled agent she tried to appear as. Jane was a fellow agent on Xavier's team and also Billy's secret girlfriend. But in the episode called Billy we learn that she was a cold-blooded killer hired by Sinatra for her own reasons.
But the last episode showed some unknown parts of her, and it made viewers think that she was actually a dangerous sociopath. There's no other explanation for her asking Sinatra to give her the Wii back. Or maybe there is? Season 2 better clear that up.
