Scott Pilgrim Animated Series EP’s Reaction to Cast Reunion? Priceless

Scott Pilgrim is a very unique story that still holds a special place in many people's hearts.
Based on a comic book, Edgar Wright's 2010 adaptation took it to a whole new level of success with the help of a dedicated cast.
While some people fall for the story, which can be interpreted differently at different stages of life, others simply enjoy the comedic talents of Michael Cera, who portrayed Scott himself, and the supporting cast such as Kieran Culkin, Aubrey Plaza, Brie Larson and Chris Evans.
No matter why Scott Pilgrim vs. the World stuck with you, you'll be thrilled to learn that the story is being adapted for the animated series.
The best part is, everybody is back to do their character’s voiceovers. And even after the crazy number of interviews where each actor spoke out about how deeply they care about this project, the production team was still surprised by the unity that they showed. One single email sent after the production had already begun has established the anime’s fate.
BenDavid Grabinski, the executive producer of a new series, recalled the moment that got him most excited:
“I remember sitting in Bryan's [O'Malley] office when we started to see the emails of people saying that they were interested. I literally screamed. That was the first point where we felt like, okay, this could be a cool show,” he said in an interview with EW.
While fans would be just as excited to see the anime without key cast members returning to their characters, these decisions only go to show how much of a passion project Scott Pilgrim really is for everyone involved.
Even after the success of Marvel's Captain America, Captain Marvel, or HBO's Succession, the actors are just as eager to return to the beginning. Luckily, viewers share the same passion and are sure to show it in the series premiere.
