You think Levi's Shazam is "all Gucci"? Not so fast.

Zachary Levi's optimism regarding his superhero character and his future in James Gunn and Peter Safran's DCU is sweet, but it looks like it might be too early for the actor to render Shazam safe and sound.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set to hit screens in early 2023, and it could be the time when Gunn and Safran decide whether Levi's character falls in line with their vision of DC universe.

As multiple insiders note, it's unlikely that Gunn and Safran announce if Shazam is done or not before the sequel premieres. Should they call it quits now, it might severely affect Shazam's performance in box office which will lead to loss in revenue – clearly not something the studio wants, no matter what the future plans on Shazam are.

Fans Up in Arms Over The Batman " Biggest Snub" at Oscars

As of now, Zachary Levi is assuring fans that he is "Gucci", and "we are all Gucci", urging people not to blindly trust everything they see on the Internet.

Some do fall for his optimism.

"I think at the LEAST Zachary Levi is safe, mostly due to he fact he had nothing to do with anybody from the [Snyderverse]. They can easily rewrite him into a new one. But I'm not holding out the same hope for Gal," Twitter user Frank23105802 said.

However, not everyone is as cheerful, since even DC's iconic Superman Henry Cavill got booted by Gunn and Safran. The same works for Dwayne Johnson and his Black Adam, while Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman remains in limbo as director Patty Jenkins has already confirmed that Wonder Woman 3 is not happening in the nearest future.

Besides, if the Shazam sequel does establish a deeper connection of Levi's character to Snyderverse, it might be even worse for him in terms of the character's chances to secure a place in Gunn and Safran's roadmap for DC.
