'She went rogue': 911 audio from Tampa airport shows how long it took to find Milania Giudice
The last place anyone saw her was next to a 21-foot pink flamingo. The police radio traffic made public on Friday fills in what the deleted Instagram clip left out, and her father has now answered the clip too.
The U.S. Sun on Friday published the police dispatch audio from Wednesday afternoon at Tampa International Airport, where Milania Giudice, 20, ran off from her mother Teresa, her sister Gia and a counselor. Officers were called to the United Airlines ticket counter at 2:20 p.m. The group had come to the airport after Milania was released from a local hospital.

The dispatcher describes a 20-year-old in a tan hat and a yellow sweatsuit, last seen half an hour earlier next to Phoebe, the 21-foot pink flamingo sculpture before security, and traveling with a cat in a pink carrier. One responding officer sums up the situation:
"I take it she went rogue, and the counselor does not have eyes on her?"
Teresa spotted her first, on the transfer level. Officers followed her phone's location and found her about 12 minutes after they were called, roughly 45 minutes after she had left the group. TMZ, citing the police log, reported that she had been discharged from St. Anthony's Hospital and that officers referenced a possible Baker Act situation, Florida's procedure for an involuntary mental health evaluation. The airport says there was no arrest, no medical transport and no police report.
The clip came first, the context came later
Most people saw Wednesday before they understood it. Milania posted and quickly deleted an Instagram video of her mother and sister walking through the terminal with police officers. She shouts "This is what we do now!", Teresa answers "I love you," Gia says "Let her do what she wants," and the clip ends with Milania telling her mother to shut up in much stronger words.
The audio released Friday shows what the clip didn't: a counselor, a missing person call and a family looking for her across a terminal. It also sits at the end of a very long year:
- May — Milania was arrested after a domestic incident at Teresa's New Jersey home and charged with simple assault. Her next court date is set for next week.
- July — her childhood best friend, Victoria Zardoya, died at 20 in an accident while exploring ruins in Florida.
- Wednesday — the airport, straight from a hospital discharge.
What her family is saying now
Her manager and longtime family friend Maria DeSantis says Milania is "under the care of professionals who are working with her and her family" and asked for privacy, pointing to "the devastating loss of her best friend." Her father, Joe Giudice, gave Page Six a statement that reads like an answer to the deleted clip:
"Losing someone you love is incredibly painful, and grief does not have a timeline."
He added that "what people may see from the outside does not tell the whole story." Gia, the one trying to calm things down in the video, has said less. Under a TikTok comment she described her part as the "job of being the oldest." Milania's next scheduled public appearance is her court date next week.
