No, we're still not over his death. Yes, we're desperate.

If we know anything about Stranger Things, it's that nothing is random on this show — including little hints and teases from its writing team.

Stranger Things writers have caused some waves in the Eddie Munson fandom after posting a couple of pictures of Joseph Quinn apparently trying on some of Eddie's looks. In one tweet, there is a classic Eddie:

And the second one shows him in a quirky outfit we never saw on the show.

Okay, what is happening?

Does this mean that Joseph Quinn is currently preparing for shooting season 5, or is it just us ready to take absolutely anything as a hint at his possible comeback?

Stranger Things fans definitely choose option two. In fact, they have their own looks that Eddie can try on in the next season...

If you are blissfully unaware, there is a massively popular fan theory that Eddie Munson, who died in the fourth season after being attacked by demobats in the Upside Down, will come back as a vampire named Kas — a character from Dungeons & Dragons board game who eventually helped defeat Vecna.

Well, sorry for ruining it for you, but the photos shared by Stranger Things writers look very much like what the show's costume designer, Amy Parris, posted on her Instagram account when she broke down the evolution of Eddie Munson's style.

It's highly unlikely that the writers shared new photos, even though it's still unclear why would they suddenly bring back Eddie and his outfits just now, when the entire fandom is on edge about his possible comeback.

So even though it's likely not about Quinn currently trying on some new looks for Eddie, it doesn't mean that we need to abandon all hope.

After all, it's no longer April Fool's day when the writers played a cruel joke with our hearts by dropping a fake name of season 5 episode 2, Chapter Two: Kas the Bloody-Handed.

Stranger Things season 5 does not have a release date yet. So yes, we have at least a year to bite our nails.
