The Actor Playing Kamala's Father in 'Ms. Marvel' Has a Surprising Connection to 'Doctor Strange' Films

It's all connected, they say. Well, at least this one time they're actually right.

Being, at least in some sense, a charming coming-of-age story, 'Ms. Marvel' features a brilliant ensemble of actors who make Kamala's family experiences all the more relatable to us viewers. One of those actors is Mohan Kapoor who plays father of Kamala Khan. Turns out Mr. Kapoor is more than familiar with the MCU already: it's him who has been lending his voice to Marvel's Dr. Strange for all Hindi versions since the very first movie.

Not only Mohan Kapoor is an actor, now even more famous in the States thanks to his 'Ms. Marvel' role, he's also an experienced dubbing artist for the Hindi version of Hollywood films. And it's not just Marvel either: Kapoor dubbed in Hindi such tentpoles as 'The Dark Knight Rises' (of all characters, he voiced Bane you guys!), 'Fast & Furious' films (voicing Luke Hobbs, Dwayne Johnson's character), 'Jurassic World'.

One of the greatest meta jokes in the MCU is already in the making, kudos to Marvel fans on Reddit:

'Look forward to Strange saying something vaguely parental to Kamala and her responding, "You sound just like my Dad!" – /WookieeBH.

So far we don't know when exactly Kamala Khan and Steven Strange will have an opportunity to meet, but, given that Dr. Strange is not going anywhere after the events of 'Multiverse of Madness' and Kamala's just beginning her journey, expected to pop up in 'The Marvels' movie in 2023, it's safe to assume these two will get to work together eventually.

It should be noted that this is actually not the first time when an actor who previously worked on Marvel projects as a dubbing artist ends up starring in one of Marvel's films or TV series. In 'Hawkeye', for example, the actor who appears as Tomas (Piotr Adamczyk) previously worked on several Marvel movies as a dubbing artist for the Polish versions, voicing Ant-Man.
