Wizarding World fans discuss awkward Harry Potter moments that made them cringe.

The Harry Potter franchise had many emotional moments throughout its eight installments. Some scenes caused viewers positive emotions, while others were heartbreaking and sad. However, like probably in any franchise created in the early 2000s, there were uncomfortable moments that made viewers feel almost vicarious embarrassment. Fans of the fantasy series took to Reddit to share such moments and find out that they were not alone.

Among the most discussed scenes, the little romance moments between Harry and Ginny showed up. Almost all their exchanges seemed to fans too forced and awkward. For example, a scene where Ginny kneels to tie Harry's shoes while wearing a bathrobe had some porno potential according to fans. Fans also remembered a time when Ron and Harry were talking about Ginny and Hermione's skin. It felt extremely awkward, right?

Another cause for unease was awkward kissing Harry seems to be the king of throughout the franchise. For starters, the scene of the kiss between Harry and Cho made many adult fans feel embarrassed.

"It's funny because I grew up with the characters age-wise so at the time it seemed so real. Watching it several years later however was very as you put it 'cringeworthy'," one fan commented.

Unfortunately, Harry's kissing didn't much improve in the further films. The kiss between Harry and Ginny in the middle of the final battle against Voldemort was clearly supposed to be passionate but felt forced and awkward to many fans especially directly after that firework show of a kiss from Ron and Hermione.

There's Something Really Disturbing About Hagrid We Choose to Ignore

Fans admitted that the chemistry between Daniel Radcliffe and Bonnie Wright was awkward so naturally, a lot of their scenes followed suit. There was even one time when the creators of the franchise in pursuit of more chemistry between Ginny and Harry ruined an uplifting moment from the novels by J.K. Rowling

"Oh my god, for me it's got to be this one. Dammit I was SO ANNOYED at how they adapted this because it's one of my all-time favorite parts of the whole series when Pansy shrieks that someone seize Harry and all the Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw students move nearly simultaneously to form a wall before her. I almost always get teary reading that scene. The way they had Ginny awkwardly lope over to Harry and stand in front of him had me cringing and feeling cheated. Way to turn a scene about resistance and solidarity into a failed attempt to generate more chemistry between Ginny and Harry," a fan explained.

This got to be one of the most if not the most awkward moment in the entire franchise.
