Cineverse has finally released the gnarly, wild, and badass official trailer for the horror remake of The Toxic Avenger, set to hit cinemas this August at the end of summer. It looks better than ever! After a two-year wait since its debut at genre festivals, it’s time to unleash Toxie on all things evil. The original The Toxic Avenger from 1984 is a cult classic from Lloyd Kaufman and Troma. Numerous sequels and spin-offs followed, but now Troma has teamed up with Legendary for a fresh take.

Macon Blair’s The Toxic Avenger reboot follows struggling janitor Winston Gooze (played by Peter Dinklage as our new anti-hero), who is transformed by a horrific toxic accident into a new kind of superhero: The Toxic Avenger! With superhuman strength and wielding a glowing mop, Toxie must race against time to save his son and stop a ruthless corporate tyrant determined to harness toxic superpowers. Also starring Jacob Tremblay, Taylour Paige, Julia Davis, Jonny Coyne, Elijah Wood, and Kevin Bacon.
