You probably already know what song we're talking about.

Summary:

  • The Umbrella Academy, created by My Chemical Romance's frontman Gerard Way, has been renewed for a fourth and final season
  • Plot details have remained a mystery so far
  • Fans are already theorizing on what they're about to see in the final chapter, and one particular music request is especially popular

We love The Umbrella Academy for many things, and its chaotic soundtrack is definitely one of them.

Over the course of three seasons, we danced with the Hargreeves family to Footloose, kicked some asses to Istanbul (Not Constantinople), and drove our cars dramatically into the night to Exit Music.

Now that The Umbrella Academy is heading into its fourth and final season, fans believe they know one particular song that just needs to be included into this chapter's soundtrack.

The Umbrella Academy Needs My Chemical Romance's Music

Seriously, for a show created by the My Chemical Romance frontman, The Umbrella Academy severely lacks MCR music. Yes, in case you had no idea — Gerard Way is the creator of the series, as he wrote the comic books on which the Netflix show is based on.

Meanwhile, fans already know exactly which particular song has to be in season 4. Naturally, it's Na Na Na.

First of all, the vibe is on. The 13-year-old (yep, we feel extremely old, too) MCR classic feels like it was created specifically to play while the Hargreeves are struggling with a fight against the backdrop of yet another looming apocalypse.

Even though the official soundtrack for season 4 predictably remains a mystery, fans are pretty sure that if the show decides to use the song, it will be in an action scene, and it will be awesome 100%.

To be fair, one My Chemical Romance song has made it to The Umbrella Academy. In 2020, Gerard Way revealed that Here Comes the End was written specifically for the show. He was inspired by a final scene of the pilot episode, when Aidan Gallagher‘s Five told Elliot Page's Viktor (then Vanya) that the world was about to end.

"After Ellen [former name of Elliot Page] would deliver her line, ‘I’ll put on a pot of coffee,’ I kept picturing it cutting to black,” Way recalls. “And then I heard this song in my head.”

Well, no pressure, but fans are craving to hear other My Chemical Romance hits in the final season of The Umbrella Academy, aren't we?
