The White Lotus premiered on MAX in 2021 and became a sensation, followed by a second season in 2022 that became a sensation again. The plot began with a dead body: at the luxurious White Lotus Spa Hotel in Hawaii, and then in Sicily, an incident happened that no one wants to witness on vacation — someone died.
But the plot kept viewers guessing until the very end — was this person one of the wealthy guests or staff? Did they die of natural causes or was it a murder? Over the course of six episodes, showrunner Mike White built his story according to the rules of an Agatha Christie-style mystery, where the number of suspects is limited.
At the same time, The White Lotus cannot be called a detective story, which is simultaneously the show's most nonsensical and best part. This is primarily a psychological project, where monologues and dialogues are no less memorable than plot twists. For that, The White Lotus is loved by millions of viewers all over the world.
The White Lotus Season 3 Moves to a New Location
Production will begin in February on Koh Samui, in Bangkok, and the surrounding area. This time the producers have agreed to work with the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
So the third season is likely to be the most picturesque of all – if you thought Hawaii and Sicily were breathtaking, then the picturesque views of Thailand will be a real feast for the eyes.
The White Lotus Season 3 Gets an All-New Cast
At least six new actors will join the cast in season three.
- Leslie Bibb, known to many for her role as Christine Everhart in Iron Man;
- Dom Hetrakul, a Thai actor who has appeared primarily in film and TV projects in his home country;
- Jason Isaacs, star of the recent series The OA and The Crowded Room;
- Michelle Monaghan, best known for her role in the first season of True Detective and Mission: Impossible – Fallout;
- Parker Posey, who recently starred in Ari Aster's horror film Beau Is Afraid;
- Tayme Thapthimthong, another Thai actor who had a supporting role in Jason Statham 's Mechanic: Resurrection.
Natasha Rothwell is also returning to the show to reprise her role as Belinda.
The White Lotus Season 3 Release Date Is No Good News
