One of the hit show’s episodes proves it like no one else.

The sci-fi genre has plenty of truly outstanding cinematic stories, yet Christopher Nolan ’s Interstellar is still a rare gem to please both critics and viewers that much.

Ten years after its initial release, the movie is still celebrated as one of the greatest films to ever exist, with many of Interstellar’s lovers rewatching the flick every year — well, probably just because they have no idea about a show which might give them an opportunity to reminisce about their sci-fi favorite.

To make it all even easier, the series in question is quite a popular watch choice on Netflix.

Love, Death & Robots now has all of its three previous installments available for watching on Netflix. Currently it is set to return with a fourth season, presumably at some point in spring of 2025.

The show was first brought to the screen in 2019 and came as an animated sci-fi anthology consisting of various different stories explored through the most important themes in separate episodes.

The series also varies in its genres going all the way from comedy to fantasy and horror, but it’s definitely the sci-fi fuelled episodes that may give their viewers a pretty strong deja vu feeling — and one of them has a striking resemblance to Nolan’s Interstellar.

Beyond the Aquila Rift is Quite Literally a More Horrifying Version of Interstellar

The first season’s episode 7 titled Beyond the Aquila Rift is seemingly a reinterpretation of Nolan’s story since the plot here revolves around a captain of a freight ship which gets lost in some alternative universe.

While there, the captain called Thom realises that at the Saumlaki Station where they all ended up the time passes in a different way and much slower, thus it’s horrifying for him to think that on Earth centuries have already passed while the characters seemingly spent only several months at the station.

The same concept is used by Nolan in Interstellar where Cooper realises the same once he arrives at Miller’s planet. Additionally, Love, Death & Robots episode does dedicate some time to exploring the psychological side of the adventure, diving deeper into its characters’ mixed feelings about everything that’s happening — pretty much the same Nolan does while focusing on Matt Damon’s character and his personal struggles while being on a mission.
