Who's on the block in Big Brother this week? The ceremony also blew up a secret bribe
The Week 9 block, for those keeping score at home: Angela Murray, Dee Valladares, and Rick Devens. Yes, all three Icons. Yes, at the same time.
But honestly? The nominations were only the second most explosive thing to come out of ceremony week. Because in the scramble that followed, a $5,000 secret got dragged into the daylight, and it rearranged the entire board.
The bribe, exposed
Weeks ago, Dee quietly used the BB Bribe twist on Yash Patel: five grand in exchange for protection, meaning Yash can't nominate her, Angela, or Devens the next time he wins HOH. That deal was supposed to stay buried. Instead, Dee herself spilled it to Barrett — presumably to prove the Icons still had teeth — and when Barrett didn't buy it, a house meeting confirmed the whole arrangement in front of everybody.
So now the entire house knows:
- Yash won the Power of Veto this week (BB Comics, naturally), making him the comp beast of the moment.
- Yash also cannot use that muscle against the Icons next HOH, because he took the money.
- The exact fine print is disputed — Yash keeps giving different versions of what he agreed to, the Icons insist his obligations are bigger than he admits, and nobody trusts anybody's math.
A $5,000 payday in week 6 has become a full-body handcuff in week 9. The Bribe twist finally did something, and what it did was ruin one man's September.
The pointless veto ceremony that mattered anyway
Monday's meeting was, on paper, a formality: Yash didn't touch the veto, the three Icons stayed put. But the ceremony week as a whole redrew every line in the house. And former houseguest Lala called this exact trap from the outside, explaining that she skipped targeting the Icons during her own reign precisely because otherwise "I would've been in Yash's place where his whole HOH was jacked."

Jacked it remains. The strongest competitor in the house is legally — well, Big Brother-legally — barred from taking the shot everyone expects him to take. One Icon goes Thursday. The bribe outlives them. Chef's kiss.
