DC series featuring young superheroes are having great success on HBO Max and The CW, so maybe it's time to bring the two universes together, perhaps even for a little crossover?

Greg Berlanti was responsible for turning DC into a major television presence long before Disney+ arrival and Marvel's current dominance in the prestige series department. The producer started his 'Arrowverse' in 2012 on The CW and has since developed many successful shows for the network, including 'The Flash ' and 'Legends of Tomorrow'. In the last couple of years, Berlanti has partnered with HBO Max, creating 'Doom Patrol' and 'Titans' – shows that feature a much more mature narrative and take place in a different universe than 'Arrowverse'.

With Berlanti at the helm of both franchises, fans are seriously expecting him to bring them together in a special crossover in which the series' respected universes will change forever.

During an appearance at Motor City Comic Con, Brenton Thwaites (Dick Grayson from 'Titans', aka Nightwing) was asked about the possibility of this happening. The CW's upcoming 'Gotham Knights ' series was mentioned as a possible launching pad for the crossover, and Thwaites seemed more than open to the idea.

"Oh that's cool. Yeah I like that. I like that. That's a cool idea. That'd be a good way. Yeah, that'd be a good way in. It's a good idea," Thwaites told Cosmic Circus.

Fans are definitely hoping for this turn of events, but the mere possibility that the crossover will involve 'Gotham Knights' is a little scary, given the DC fandom's known hatred toward The CW, notorious for cancelling their shows after just one season.
