Tramell Tillman Reveals His Favorite Show & Here's Why You Should Watch It

We all know that Mr. Milchick actor has impeccable taste, so it's probably safe to trust him on this one.
The finale of the second season of AppleTV+'s Severance premiered almost a week ago, but the media frenzy is still going strong.
All platforms are full of bits and pieces of interviews with the show's cast, revealing secrets about the show and its production. And of course, they tell something interesting about themselves as well.
One of the recent interviews was Tramell Tillman’s when he came to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. During the interview they discussed lots of things related to the series. But the moment that went viral was where Tillman tells the story of how he came up with the word Gråkappan, which was mentioned in the series.
While many of the fans thought it was a real Swedish word, it was actually a completely made-up thing shaped to sound Swedish. And Tillman had no idea how to pronounce it. So he thought, "How would my favorite character Rose Nylund with Swedish-Norwegian roots pronounce it?" And then he revealed that The Golden Girls was his favorite sitcom.
Well, considering that the show premiered the year Tramell Tillman was born, there is no way he saw it on TV. So he must have heard about it somewhere and decided to binge it after so many years. But what was so special about the show that made it his favorite?
Why Is The Golden Girls Considered a Classic?
The Golden Girls is an ensemble cast sitcom revolving around four older single women, three of whom are widowed and one of whom is divorced. They all live in a house in Miami, and their daily shenanigans make the show a master class in chaotic comedy, with no chance for viewers to just sit back and watch silently.
It’s understandable why the show would be enjoyed by an older audience, the ones who understand all the pop culture references of the time and get all the jokes. But it seems that the younger generations are also very fond of the show. For many reasons.
“Excellent writing, nostalgia, and honestly, the first time around it was a chance to see “women of a certain age” show that life doesn’t end when you get older. They were still having sex, going on trips, working, supporting each other, and doing all sorts of things. It went against a lot of portrayals of what middle-aged women were like,” Redditor hotflashinthepan said.
Even if you are afraid of not getting the jokes of the era, it will still be funny for you because of the way the characters deliver their lines. The hilarious approach to portraying the characters' flaws and personal dilemmas was amazing and took comedy to the next level.
