Warner Bros. to Halt 'Robin' Series in 'Dark Knight' Universe: What Nolan Has to Do With it?

Warner Bros. failed to secure Marvel’s Kevin Feige for DC, post-justice league negotiations fall through.
Christopher Nolan convinced Warner Bros. not to make a Robin series, which the studio apparently intended to make in the world of his Dark Knight. The Wall Street Journal reported this and other details about the development of the DC cinematic universe, citing its sources.
- Warner Bros. tried to lure Kevin Feige, the creative head of Marvel, to DC. The studio negotiated with him after the release of Justice League and the actual end of the universe that Zack Snyder tried to create, but was refused.
- After Snyder left, WB head David Zaslav negotiated with various filmmakers to establish the release of DC comic book films. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson also proposed his ideas for the development of the universe, but they decided not to implement them after the failure of Black Adam.
- Zaslav decided to cancel the film about a black Superman, which Ta-Nehisi Coates was working on, because he considered such a comic book movie too wook (that is, focused on issues of race, gender, or social justice). But current DC executives James Gunn and Peter Safran, according to sources, may return to the idea of this movie.
- James Gunn is considering TV series spin-offs about secondary characters of Superman.
