There are only 8 episodes, so one weekend is enough.

Netflix can't be fooled: 51 million hours in two weeks is not just a number, it's a nerve that was hit perfecly. The new mini-series The Four Seasons, filmed by Shameless directors Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini, unexpectedly became a hit, although it did not promise any loud revelations.

Just — life. And this, it seems, is its strength.

Eight episodes, three pairs of friends, one sudden confession — and cozy summer meetings suddenly become a chess game without rules. A divorce, which should have remained a matter of two, turns out to be a litmus test for everyone. It is not the loud quarrels that become scary, but the silence in which everyone hears their own union cracking.

Without overexposure, but with a hit. And it's amazing: in 2025, when the viewer seems tired of everything, the story of old friends on vacation suddenly turns out to be exactly what you need.

Not everyone recognized it, but the series is a remake of an inconspicuous comedy from 1981. Back then, almost no one noticed it. Now it's a confident top Netflix. The reviews contain warm words and slightly poignant laughter.

"I laughed a lot. If you're looking for something to binge watch, this is it," some write. "An unexpected ending. Perfect if you want something about feelings, but without snot," others agree.
