If you are in search of a place to find a place for a short fall vacation, this may be just what you need.

All hardcore Virgin River fans are now waiting for the rest of season 5 to finally hit Netflix on November 30. But there's actually something they can do to make that anticipation less painful. And no, we're not talking about binge-watching the series once again from season 1, that's something you should have already started.

We have a better plan. What if we told you where to travel to feel the Virgin River vibe in real life? Of course, the characters help us fall in love with the series, but we can’t ignore the fact that in terms of aesthetics, Virgin River is a show that wins your heart with just the first cut showing the picturesque landscapes.

It's all so beautiful that you can't help but wonder what plane you should take to end up in a small town like this. But don't rush to enter Virgin River as a destination in your ticket-buying apps, because unfortunately it's not a real place that you can just go to. Virgin River is a fictional ideal spot that in real life is a collection of small places that make up a whole.

However, it's extremely easy to visit these places, all you need is your ticket to Canada and our guide, because although it was stated that Virgin River is somewhere in California, not a single episode was filmed there. Instead, every part of the show was set in Canada, in various cities.

The outdoor locations, all those beautiful landscapes, were mostly filmed in Snug Cove on Bowen Island, Burnaby and Port Coquitlam. But there are also a lot of spots in Vancouver that were used for the show.

The Home of the Caretaker of Murdo Frazer Park

For example, Mel's cabin is actually a well-known location in Murdo Frazer Park on Vancouver's North Shore. The building has been there since the 50's and has even been seen in many other movies and TV projects.

Victorian Home in New Westminster

You can also find Mel's workplace if you travel a bit southeast of Vancouver. The clinic is actually a mansion built almost 150 years ago that has become a famous film set and has been featured in several popular TV shows including Supernatural and Jinxed.

The WaterShed Grill

Another famous place in the show is Jack's bar, and it's also a real place that you can easily visit while traveling through Canada. The place is called Watershed Grill and is located 40 miles north of Vancouver. But don't be surprised if you don't recognize the interior, because it was changed for the filming.

Pioneer Avenue in Agassiz

To depict the made-up city itself rather than its buildings, the showrunners also relied on Canadian towns. For example, the Welcome to Virgin River sign was also filmed not far from Vancouver, on Pioneer Avenue in Agassiz province.

Shannon Falls Provincial Park

There's also a chance to visit the most romantic spots ever shown in the series. Yes, we are talking about that sweet place where Jack and Mel went on their fishing trip. It was filmed at Shannon Falls Provincial Park that is also located there in British Columbia.
