Who is returning in Hollywood Arts? The biggest Victorious name is in the show without being in it
Tori Vega never walks onto the screen in Hollywood Arts, and the school still keeps her locker the way she left it.
Hollywood Arts premiered on Netflix on October 15. It's a sequel to Nickelodeon's Victorious, created by Jake Farrow, who worked on the original, and Samantha Martin; Dan Schneider, who created Victorious, isn't involved. Daniella Monet stars as Trina Vega, Tori's older sister, now a struggling actress who comes back to the performing arts high school as an unqualified substitute teacher. Netflix ordered 26 episodes.
Who's back
Four faces from Victorious turn up:
- Daniella Monet — Trina is the lead, and Monet is also an executive producer.
- Matt Bennett — Robbie Shapiro is now a teacher too. He and Trina go on a blind date, but he takes a full-time job far away, and the romance is left hanging.
- Yvette Nicole Brown — back as Principal Helen Dubois.
- Eric Lange — back as drama teacher Erwin Sikowitz.
Bennett is the only one of Tori's old friends who actually appears. The rest of the show belongs to a new class of students, led by Alyssa Miles, Peyton Jackson, Martin Kamm, Emmy Liu-Wang and Erika Swayze.
Tori
Victoria Justice played the title character of Victorious, and Tori is everywhere in Hollywood Arts except on screen:
- Her locker — preserved at the school as a kind of shrine.
- Her money — she donates to help keep the school funded.
- Her phone — Trina calls and texts her younger sister, but the show never shows her.
Justice never ruled it out. Asked about a cameo by Entertainment Tonight in 2025, she said maybe "Tori will pop in for an episode, who knows? Never, say never."
Tori has a locker, a donation and a phone number in the new show. She doesn't have a scene.
Who isn't back
The rest of Tori's old friends don't appear: Avan Jogia's Beck, Elizabeth Gillies' Jade and Leon Thomas' Andre are all missing, though all three actors have expressed interest in the project. Ariana Grande's Cat, who got her own spinoff with Sam & Cat, isn't mentioned at all.
Don't miss: Netflix hasn't ended Wednesday. Jenna Ortega sounds like she already has

Monet has said the invitation stands.
"Everyone has an open invite. The door is open," Monet told TheWrap.
On whether more of the original cast could follow Bennett, she added: "There might be more where that came from."
