Indeed, Five Nights at Freddy's, based on the eponymous horror game, is a paradox, given also the fact that it grossed $297.2 million, becoming the Blumhouse studio’s highest-grossing film, despite its day-and-date release for streaming on Peacock.

This movie focused on a guard, portrayed by the Internet’s favorite Josh Hutcherson, who took a job at a pizzeria. He then realized he had to deal with murderous animatronic animals, who were mysteriously becoming mobile and hostile at night.

Fans of the game and newcomers to the world of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, who enjoyed Emma Tammi’s horror and Hutcherson’s performance in particular, started speculating on a sequel. Luckily, their dreams seem to come true two years after the first movie.

The sequel news has been recently announced by the Universal President of Domestic Theatrical Distribution, Jim Orr. At the studio’s CinemaCon presentation he stated that Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is already in development for release in fall 2025.

While further details of the plot and the cast are still unrevealed, all that is left for the audience is to try to guess what it will be.
